Reconstruction of the Balkhash CHPP with the installation of modern APCS of PT-30 & R-25/09 turbines
A large industrial holding of the Republic of Kazakhstan (LLP “Kazakhmys Holding”) is performing a large-scale project of upgrading of the main and auxiliary equipment with the increase of power of the following stations: Jezkazgan CHPP, Balkhash CHPP and Karagandinskaya SDPP-2 which are included in the structure of the LLP “Kazakhmys Energy”.
According to the approved plan in the II and III quarter of 2015 it is planned to reconstruct and modernize two turbines (PT-30 and R-25/90) with the installation of a modern APCS on the Balkhash CHPP (installed heat capacity is 430.9 Gcal / h, electrical capacity is no less than 120 MW).
Russian’s “Tornado Modular Systems” company has been selected as a supplier of automatized management systems for this project. “Tornado Modular Systems” is resident of Academpark (Novosibirsk) and the leading Russian developer and manufacturer of APCSs for industrial enterprises.
The company was entrusted to perform full scope of work for the APCS creation: design, shipment, assembling and commissioning. The budget of the project is more than 1 million euros.
