ADCS¹ based on microprocessor protections of OJSC “Iskra NMP²”

The main purpose of the system creation is collection of data about the state of the main electrical equipment of the electric power supply distribution objects of “Iskra” Federal Unitary Enterprise. General description of the system

Automatic dispatch control system is an information and control system with implementation of the following functions:

• Reading the current measurements (values of currents, voltages, active, reactive and full capacity, frequency) from protection terminals;
• Reading the discrete signals of the switching equipment state (switches of the corresponding cells with installed protection terminals) from protection terminals;
• Display of the protection terminals states;
• Management of the switching equipment of the corresponding cells.

The system is automatized (not automatic), i.e. it assumes work of the automation equipment under control of dispatch staff. Two operator’s automated workstations (AWSs) are equipped for staff that perform monitoring of the system: operator’s AWS No. 1 located on the control unit No. 1 in the “ЭЦ” room and operator’s AWS No. 2 is located on the control unit No. 2 in the “В- 1быт” room.

The main instrument that allows performing all the necessary functions in the system is “Tornado INTEGRA” software, which is installed on the operator’s AWSs No. 1 and No. 2.

The main circuits of electric power distribution facilities with indication of the current measurements and the state of the main switching equipment are displayed in “Tornado INTEGRA” software.

In addition, automatic logging of events and the hierarchical navigation system of the object are provided in “Tornado INTEGRA” software.

The uninterruptible power supplies (UPSs) installed in the rooms of the control units on the consoles of the operator’s AWSs No. 1 and No. 2 are used to provide reliable power supply for the computers.

The power supply scheme of the computers and communication equipment is organized in accordance with the task of power supply, fulfilled by CJSC “Tornado Modular Systems” as part of the project for the creation of ADCS of OJSC “Iskra NMP”.
